The app offers a free Starter Pack, which includes 17 instruments and over 100 loops and samples, allowing users to get started without any financial commitment. Alternatively, users can opt for a free 7-day trial of Medly Member, which grants access to over 3000 instruments, loops, and exclusive features.

One of Medly's standout features is its ability to simplify the music-making process. The app breaks songs down into sections, making it easy to add notes, audio samples, and loops. Sections can be copied, pasted, and rearranged to build a song, with the option to quickly rewind and undo changes using the History tool.

Users can snap between points and beats for precise timing and use the selection tool to edit multiple automation points together. The app's effect picker displays automation graphs for all effects within a section, providing a comprehensive overview and easy editing.

Sharing and collaboration are made seamless with Medly. Users can quickly upload their songs to platforms like SoundCloud or share them as videos, audios, MIDI files, or Medly files. The app also supports integration with other apps through Inter-App Audio and enables synchronization with Ableton Link for precise timing during live performances.
